I joined the Department of Humanities in 2014, after living and working in Ohio and Illinois. As one half of the Philosophy Program, I cover a lot of ground: ethics, political philosophy and the history of philosophy. Along with my colleagues, I mentor philosophy students into careers in education, law, politics, non-profits, the arts and other fields. Since 2015, I have served as co-director of the Leadership Studies Program and a variety of university committees.
My research deals with human rights, especially as it concerns health and protest. In addition to publishing and presenting on these topics, I serve on the Sanford Bemidji Bioethics Committee.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, cooking and nerdy board games.
